In the Maipo Valley you will find Chile’s oldest and finest wineries. Many keep their cellars just as they were when first established in the 19th century. The red wine produced in this region is world-renowned.
Since Chile rediscovers their Carménères, grape variety lost in Europe in the middle of 19 century, we have harvest activities until May not in March as before. The Carménères “Grand Verdure” and Syrahs from Casablanca and San Antonio Valleys are harvested later in Chile. Those reds wines could be paring with fantastic meat from Chile or Argentina and some seafood from the Pacific.
